If I hear a lyric that makes me want to hold down the left button on my ipod, hear an instrument whose sound makes me tear up, hear a voice that makes me have goose bumps, or see album art that makes me stare in awe, you'll hear about it. The Dumbing Down of Lahv

Now since I'm using Miss Heap's brilliant lyric from her "Details" ending song from the collaborative group Frou Frou's only album, I figure this song is a good place to start.

The Dumbing Down of Love (track 11) is a slow ballad on the end of this British sensation's CD. Not only are the words incredible, but no one can deny the beauty of this woman's voice as she could sing any baby to sleep and raise the hairs on my arms.

The song begins with simple piano and crisp vocals follow. Her words linger and you can hear her breath. Sythesizers slowly enter into the song.

A song about love. That's not really love. The passion without the romance.

And then the music stills . . then the line "Music is worthless unless it can make a complete stranger break down and cry" You can feel her cry as she sings the line and her voice reaches unbelievable pitch.

The flute trickles into the background as breathey as her voice.
